#74080 ok heres the deal this time. sometimes when i start my car the engine will start but as soon as it does there is a weird sound kind of like a vacuum sucking something but a quick "bvuuuuuuuuup" sometimes very quick and short and other times smooth and slower. any idea what it is its killing me to think of what it is and i can still not figure it out. i have tried to have a buddy start it while i was under the hood and couldnt really find where it was coming from. its the stock motor for a 95 dx coupe, if this helps it also has some cheap cold air intake on it too but dont think this has anything to do with it seeing as it never has before. so anything guys?

#74213 an intake (especially short ram) will allow more sucking sound that your motor makes to be heard than the stock air box. Off the top of my head, it could have something to do with your vacuum system. Maybe a clogged PVC filter?

#75048 That sort of happens when I initially start my car and goes away after the car ticks over for a few mins and everything works great any way so unless it effecting performance dude don't worry about it too much, if it's a vacuum leak you should notice power loss or crappy fuel economy

That's exactly how my engine is. Friends get scared but it's all good when shes running for a little while.
