Head gasket options

- Fri May 23, 2008 5:15 pm #56417 I'm about to change the head gasket on my jdm d15b vtec engine and i wanted to know if any d-series vtec head gasket will work(ie. d16z6, d16y8)

incorrect. Z6 is also multilayer steel.

I believe all D series headgaskets are multilayer steel.


Cometic has custom headgaskets made to order if you need something specific differences.

- Sat May 24, 2008 9:55 pm #56480 This info is outdated. Honda consolidated the Z6 and Y8 head gaskets into one. If you order a Z6 headgasket, they give you a Y8 head gasket.
