#56417 I'm about to change the head gasket on my jdm d15b vtec engine and i wanted to know if any d-series vtec head gasket will work(ie. d16z6, d16y8)

#56430 been good, busy. buying house, getting married, business has been steady... EG is still in pieces though. Transmission build is killing my wallet but it will last a while and take a lot of abuse when it is all done :thumb:

incorrect. Z6 is also multilayer steel.

I believe all D series headgaskets are multilayer steel.


Cometic has custom headgaskets made to order if you need something specific differences.

#56444 Hmm, maybe US spec is different then, I'm pretty sure that the pre '96 D-series all have paper gaskets over here.

#56480 This info is outdated. Honda consolidated the Z6 and Y8 head gaskets into one. If you order a Z6 headgasket, they give you a Y8 head gasket.
