#45256 Can you post an engine shot?
guessing you might have a breather installed? cali doesn't allow that :(
and they even check your timing there??? that sucks. looks like they don't like advanced timing. I'd set it back to 16 or 12 degrees BTDC (which ever is normal)

about the hydro carbons... is your cat in good shape?

#45257 Cali is hella strict.....I dont think you can smog a swap without getting it barred....they might be setting you up as a D when you are really running a B series. IMO at least. Did they tag you as a gross polluter?

#45310 advance the ignition timing by rotating your distributor counter clockwise.
if you don't know what you're doing then you can do serious damage to your engine

#45317 Well you need to check to make sure timing is dead on, along with ignition timing. After this check ur plugs, make sure you arent running to rich.

You definitely need to replace ur cat, also what ecu are you running in this car? I would run a stock header also, just makes the the Co2 lower. You need to run 87 octane too.

Also was ur cat nice and hot when they ran the car?

#45318 Also you need to wire ur EGR in and make sure all ur vacuum lines are hooked and up and look stock.

#45319 HC rich usually means cat is debunked. :X

timing needs to be set back to normal 15-16degrees and you need a new cat. from the get go. fix your vacuum tubing and get new cap and rotors, new spark plugs. :)

IS ur Purge valve on the GSR intake manifold hooked up?
Make sure all ur vacuum lines are hooked up on the charcoal canister. than make sure you put a stock intake tube and box on and run the correct tubing and hoses with it. (which I meand the ones that connect to the TB to the head and the valve cover to the Intake tube for oil vapors)

I am glad to hear you only run 92 octane but for emissions you need to run cheap crappy gas so it burns quicker.

If your cat was replaced last year most likely it was a crappy one. CA is pretty tough on emissions.

Yes, you need to run ur car so the cat gets hot, if not most of the time all ur exhaust blows right thru the cat.

teal_dx wrote:Where does that blue vac line connect to? the one coming from the valve cover? It should connect to the intake before the throttle body.

Yeah you cant run that line in Cali, thats what I was talking about replacing it back with the stock peice. Which also has another hose connected to it to goes from the head to the TB( fast idle valve)
