muffler resonator question

- Thu Feb 07, 2008 12:29 pm #41221 to those who already upgraded they're muffler from stock to free flowing aftermarket mufflers did you remove the resonator and put up just a straight pipe all the way?

- Thu Feb 07, 2008 10:13 pm #41318 A 2.25-2.5" midpipe with a muffler in it is about as loud as a stock 1.75-2" midpipe without one.
Keep that in mind, and you won't be disappointed.

The only effective way to muffle the sound is by adding a turbo... takes off about a quarter of the noise ;)
