Ok so today we got a new ECU from autozone and right out of the box, it ran pretty well. The fuel pump primed right away, which is awesome because earlier today it took 15-20 minutes for the fuel pump to kick on when I had my old ECU plugged in. It ran pretty smoothly, so we brought it up to operating temperature, and then pulled the ECU fuse and backup fuse. Then we let the engine idle for 10 minutes, then turned off the car and back on, and took it for a test drive. It ran great for about 2 minutes, then ran crappy. It started jumping and lurching and losing power and backfiring a bit. When I got it home, we ran diagnostics with the jumper wire. It threw code 43, which I believe is Malfunction in the Fuel Supply System.
We've replaced the following:
Fuel Pump and Pump Filter
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Fuel Filter
The only other things I could see it being is the Fuel Sender Unit or the O2 sensor on the Headers, because that's OEM From the factory as far as I know. Someone help me out? Make sure I'm not crazy?
