#324263 Picked up a scatter shield and a p28 this week. I'm down to turbo, Neptune RTP and an ATI damper and I'll be ready to go. My buddy is about to have his $$$$ together for my current setup, which will really get the ball rolling.

Can't wait to hear the monster LS/Vtec fire up again!!!

#324992 Sold the LS/Evo 8 setup yesterday.. Was hard to see it go. Went to a really good friend though, excited to see what he'll run with it.

Got my turbo on the way, its a precision SC6162 cast wheel with a garrett 4" anti-surge housing put together by pureturbos.com. It was only used for a few dyno pulls, got a hell of a deal on it thru a friend of a close friend

#325143 Thanks fellas!

Picking up my ATI damper tomorrow and got an appointment for Wednesday with my tuner to get my Neptune RTP and a basemap installed on my p28. If all goes as planned, motor should be in and running by this weekend. I need to get it in so I can start on intercooler piping and find out what I'm gonna have to do to make the exhaust work.

#325286 Just wanted to leave that one on till I got the motor in. I've learned my lesson with crispy valve covers and chains hoisting the motor in and out.

Gonna look for one in better shape, have some AN fittings welded on, then decide on a color. :thumb:

#325290 when you do your oil catch can make sure you purchase a good one, the lines should be same height as the valve cover, unless the baffles inside are chambered differently to allocate the pressures differently :thumb:

many people buy cheap ones and never buy them again due to the poor quality, not all catch cans are the same.

figured I would throw that out. have lots of experience with building race engines. and fixing dumb mistakes

and I hear ya about the valve cover junk, ebay has tons of cheap b series vtec covers, you can purchase some tallstrip2, aircraft stripper in areosal form spray it on, it takes the oe crinkle wrap right off, scuff it up a bit with some sand paper, spray a nice thick primer then your base then your clear when the AN fittings are installed.

LOOKING GOOD! makes me miss my sleeved b20/vtec turbo.
