no rear lights?

- Wed Feb 29, 2012 3:19 pm #296615 yesterday i unplugged that large harness running to the hatch to paint around it, and now none of the rear lights work. parking lights, brake lights, hazards, and tag lights. also, the tailight wiring looks sketchy and non-oem, do anyone else's look like this?

Probably a bad connection somewhere...
I'd remove all the scotchlock connectors and extra wiring and then solder all your OEM wires back up with some heat shrink tubing to protect them.

- Wed Feb 29, 2012 4:17 pm #296618 Yeah one or more of those connections are probably so crappy that you are probably losing continuity after moving the wires around OR you have a short and blew a fuse. Either way I'd clean up that mess :thumb: Some people should not be allowed to touch wiring... I see live wires just hanging out. The least they could have done is wrap that in electrical tape.
