#222009 nice progress man :thumb: I know the feeling when you're getting so close to being done with a turbo build!

I can't tell in the pic, but be sure your return line has a nice angle so that gravity will carry the oil down to the pan. Be sure there's more than enough of a slope if you're working on a flat surface because what if you're at a stop light or stopped facing down a hill with your motor running. You don't want that return oil to get backed up and not flow enough... that will blow the seal in your turbo.
I'm paranoid of this because I only put just enough of a slope on my line... so I shut the car off if I'm stuck facing down a hill for more than 30 seconds.

I think my return should be alright. it does just about get horizontal going into the pan. took a couple closer shots of it

#222535 thats not a bad angle for the return given the size of the line it should flow nicely. ive given some thought to maybe making a vacuum assist for oil returns or maybe feeds for turbo setups.

did an initial start up for about a minute, checked for leaks and what not, then let her run for about 10 minutes. all seems well

and in case your wondering, the larger black lines going to the turbo are water feed and return. figured it couldn't hurt and had time to kill while waiting to get the ECU back to start it up.

better pic of water lines

#225961 well, after almost 20 years of reliable working order, my OEM radiator has kicked the bucket  almost half its life was spent cooling a bigger motor than it was ever meant for. gotta love that. I was planning on replacing it over the winter before tuning anyway..

so i ordered a Neukin dual core with slimfan.com fan. looks good quality, the fan mounts better than any other, and it now comes with a OEM plug for the fan so no DIY wiring at all.

plus more bling!

should be here in the next week, will post pics when i get it in the car

#229854 got a chance to fire her up today, it's been a good 3 weeks. haven't had a chance to put in the radiator yet. it's been too damn cold! my small 1 car garage with no heat/lights is great for storing the car, but not working on it...

she fired right up and i let her run for about a half hour. took a little shitty cell phone video...

turn it up LOUD. the '2 step' at the end is is just enough to make the BOV make noise (car rev cuts around 1500rpm when not moving as it's still un-tuned)
