#213440 i say go with the type r since its already tuned and ready to go and ITB sounds wicked.lol., it will be less costly than the b20vtec in the long run cuz its a factory motor so it reliable and can swing more RPM than the b20, the b20vtec now make mass power " i own one :hehe: " but i also spent alot of money on it to get it properly done and tuned atleast i think so "im cheap" and still im a bit uneasy on its reliability...so save yourself the trouble and get the type r "i mean common its a Type R".....but if going the b20 route get it done properly and get a good management system.. :thumb:

#213474 If you can build the B20/Vtec properly wit will be faster. Why not build that and put ITBs on it? Type R head are way over rated.

#213501 Id rather have the ITR with ITBs in the car first, build the B20 block on the side, then swap the ITR head onto the B20 block and into the car. Tuned, you could potentially see 240whp with proper parts in the B20/VTEC. Hell, I've seen an ITB'd ITR around my parts pushing 250whp. Granted, he's running 13:1 CR on stock rods, crank, head, and 100octane Aviation Gasoline, but still. There's big potential in both setups.
