ECU, Wiring, Sensors

#204031 Okay, first my car died yesterday, took to shop and pretty sure the ecu is fried. So removed it and found this weirdness.

It appears that someone removed a capacitor and replaced it with all this jumpering, two fuses, and a different capacitor.

Anyone have any ideas on what the purpose of all this is???

#204034 The car did run good for about a year after I bought it but the battery shorted out and I am pretty sure this is why it quit running. You can't see in the pic but one of those fuses is blown. So I am just going to get another ecu.

Not according to the part # on the ecu, 37820-p28-a00. The last three digits show it is an american made / manual / with 0 firmware update. I replaced it with a "a01" which seems to work fine, at least it starts and runs now. But the idle fluctuates up and down. Not sure it has anything todo with the ecu or just something else was damaged when the old ecu fried.

#204319 Alrite lets try this again ive been searchin countless forums looking to see what ecu i actualy have i gots a 92 lx sedan did they put them in this year only but from what ive read the p28 was for a vtec engine but this has a b7 . On all the ecu charts they specify which model has which ecu but they always seem to leave out the lx's
