My thoughts exactly. :hehe:

At first I was probably going to go with black. Then I got to thinking.......bronze would look sharp against my red car. So bronze it is!! :thumb:

#14055 Well here's the latest....

I went down to the shop today to order my new slicks. Originally I was going to go with M&H slicks, but I changed my mind and went with some 22x8x15 M&T's insted. While at the shop I took advantage of the equipment and took the old slicks off the rims. Tomorrow (while at work) I'm going to hit the rims with aircraft stripper, and possibly start paint.

So more updates will be on the way. :thumb:

#14418 Here's the latest...

Had a few extra minutes at work so it was time to start stripping the paint off the rims.

Here's what I used. Got it at Checkers auto for $6/can.
Image

Within minutes the rim looked like this. The paint was bubbling, and separating from the rim.
Image

Let it do its thing for about 10 minutes and then I rinsed with water. This is how it looked after the first round of Aircraft stripper...

Did the whole process again and this is after round 2...

There's just a few spots left that I'll work out with sandpaper tomorrow. :thumb:

Took this while I was going at the rims. Its a thunderstorm forming over the mountains. To give you some king of depth, the top of the mountain is 10,000 feet high.

#14438 Now that I've got the paint off the rim, they really resemble the rims on my wifes EK, 14" Del Dol's.

#24376 Finally got around to laying down some paint on these.

I went with gunmetal paint, it almost matches the color of the rims that are on my car now. :woot:
