#136747 So my Coupe overheated yesterday...Kinda werid cause I went to pick up my lil bro..I ran my son inside and left the coupe running, while my bro got his stuff ready. Then after about 15 minutes of waiting, I went outside and my coupe was steaming!! I was like what the @#$*!!! Ran over there shut the car off and waited a bit before opening the hood and steam was coming out my coolant resivor...I looked around and no blown hoses no cracks in radiator that I could see ...My fan kicked on to cool it down....Then when it was cool I checked the radiator...The radiator was really low, added some coolant and checked to see it she would fire and she did with no problems....Gonna go check her out today...Check the Termostat, and see if I got any coolant leaks?? Will see how it goes.... :?

#136788 best thing to do is keep a close eye on it. Monitor your coolant level and check to see if air bubbles are getting in causing coolant to be pushed into the overflow tank. Put your thermostat in a pan of boiling water to see if it opens. look for oily film or brown gunk in your coolant. (that would mean a bad head gasket) Hopefully the head did not warp...

#142008 happened to me once

no leaks of any kind.. just random overheating

turned out it till had the original radiator cap. i bought a new one n the problem went away

i guess the old cap wasnt venting the pressure properly.

hope that helps

#142337 I'm sorry but you haven't fixed any thing, cars just don't go low on coolant for no reason, you probably have the start of a worn/bad head gasket. or a small leak some where, a bad head gasket will put air into the system, which usually pushes water into the over flow versus taking water from it.

#142722 Ok but I did a Intake manifold swap a couple weeks before and I didn't fill it up all the way...Which was my bad.. And I am sorry but I got no leaks anywhere!!

#142759 could be your intake manifold gasket, my cb7 accord lost coolant that way.
