#126092 I have a 95 eg sedan. Just had a fresh d15 block swap. All of a sudden the engine light starts coming on and whenever I'm at low revs or idle, it starts doing short revs! (The block is good by the way). What could it be? Any suggestions????

#126188 vacuum leak, iacv, tps

get a bottle of water or carb cleaner
and spray if around your intake manifold
and if there is a vacuum leak the motor will
make a diff sound..

#126277 or you can do that, but that is a game of luck, what if you get one with the same problem,

but b4 you replace it
there is 2 coolent hoses that go into and come out of you
IACV, the one closes to the throttle body is the inlet, unhook
the inlet, then start the car, if there is fluid comin out of the hose
then you need to replace the IACV,
but if there is no fluid then you have somethin blocking
the coolent to the IACV which causes it to do the short revs
and make sure its pluged in too..lol

that is the only way i know how to check it

#126352 Took apart the IACV, cleaned it, put it back.....still doing the same thing.

:x :x :x

Where exactly do I spray to check for a vacuum leak? Don't want to spray the wrong thing.

#126510 :x :x :x

I checked for vacuum leaks and found none at all. After surfing around the net, I came across this...

Know where I can find a wiring diagram? Or if anyone knows where each one goes by heart, that would be cool too.

(I swear if this was the prob all along, I'm going to break a window  )

#126833 Today I decided to compare each sensor with a friends JDM coupe and wada-ya think I find?!?!?! The person who did my swap hooked up the damn sensors wrong!!! [smilie=BangHead.gif] Who ever comes across this problem, [smilie=director.gif] MAKE SURE YOUR SENSORS ARE HOOKED UP PROPERLY!! All in all, I got the swap done for free, so I'll let it slide. Big thank you to everyone on here who helped me out, I learned a lot. :thumb:
