the woodruff key for the crank pulley looks just like it, but it's a little bigger and not magnetic.

I'm not doubting that DOHC's have something like this, but I've never had a civic with anything other than a D series in it.

Being that it's a magnet, I'm wondering if it could possibly be part of a sensor of some type? It's a strong magnet for its size, I bet it could hold a piece of paper on the fridge.

I don't have ABS, could it be something from the front brakes?

I have no idea and it's bugging me too lol.

#11597 it could be from the speed sensor thats the only thing i know that could be magnetic but i could be very wrong on that too lol

hmmm I did remove the speed sensor when I was filling the tranny fluid...
I'm not gonna take that out again unless it stops working though.

#25392 Hey I think I figured out what this may be from...

not too long before I found this piece, I had a craftsman ratchet that the snap ring came undone and the insides fell out. I just noticed that the ratchet is kind of working crappy now, the fwd/rev switch will slide back and forth while you're using it sometimes.
I'm betting that this magnet fall out then and I never noticed when I put it back together :thumb:

ahhhh....i have been following this one, i couldnt figure it out, look like you got her... i was thinking, maybe it was on the road...you hit it with your tire and it shoot up there...maybe.
