#112043 personally, I would use the z6 bottom end with the z6 head. I've seen too many y8's with oiling issues. Plus having a complete z6 vs a y8 w/ z6 head will make everything easier when buying aftermarket and figuring your compression.

So what's your budget to invest in the setup and what's your HP goal?

#112126 the Y8/Y7 oil pump flows less, and the Y8/Y7 crankshaft oil galleys are poorly designed. rod bearing #4 is usually the victim.
cost cutting measuers, no doubt.
some people run turbo D16Y7's and D16Y8's but its a good idea to shim the oil pump, which increases the flow. it does not address the crankshaft issues, though.

#112175 If your goal is only 200-220 you can stay stock z6. i have friends making 250 completley stock in their daily drivers. You just need to find a good tuner.
