My set of D2 RS coilovers arrived today and i was wondering. how easy are they going to be to fit. Bearing in mind this is the 1st time i've done anything like this would you guys recommend i go to a garage or actually bother to read instructions and attempt to fit them myself?

since you are not taking the springs off and reusing the struts (i'm assuming the D2's are only made as full coilovers)
just take off the old strut and put the new one's on.
you could probably get it done with in an hour an a half (depending how hard it is to get the bolts off) and save a bunch of cash

get a buddy to help you.

Only complication is rusted bolts, having a friend help is definetaly good though

- Tue Oct 21, 2008 1:12 pm #75345 if you're planning on getting new LCA's do it NOW and save yourself some hassle. otherwise be sure to get replacement LCA bushings cause i guarantee you that the bolt will be seized in the lca.

Remember when Civics were cool ? Yea me neither

time for the bad news.

Before i bought the parts i asked the guy if they would fit an EG import from japan and he said yes.

Went to got at it all today, got my old suspension outta the right rear and went to put the new D2 set in...it seemed a bit tight so i just greased it up but no matter how hard i tried to get it in line or even into the hole in the LCA it wouldn't go. i was sat down trying to figure out what was wrong only to find where he stuck my address on the side of the box it said "honda integra dc2" I'm fucking livid!!

As far as i'm aware, DC2 suspension will fit if i buy DC2 lca's. is this true or can i just buy eg6 aftermarket lca's...of course i wont be paying for these, the twat who sold them to me can!

- Tue Oct 21, 2008 4:47 pm #75392 Depends, Is it a DC2 R or just a regular? The tegs here have the same LCA pretty much as our cars. The R though on the other hand has a different LCA.

Should be an eyelet bottom end like your old shocks

JDM lcas are like the ones he posted, they have an eyelet fitment thats different to the fork fitment most other countries have

he said he'll sort it for me so i'm assuming he's going to send me the JDM bottom halfs...or at least he better do!
