- Mon Sep 01, 2008 4:05 am #67903 Hey guys....I've been doing custom gauges for 88-91 civics for years. I've owned almost every year civic. Right now I'm drivin an 02.

Anyway.....I've been working on custom gauges for 92-95's and I would love it if someone who's good at removing their cluster would be interested in giving these a try.....for free of course....and then if they'd take some pics of what they look like day and night....that would be awesome!

They're made on something called "velum" so they're semi clear in spots allowing light to come through like stock gauges....so they should look pretty stock at night.....that's my theory anyway.....

They're also made so you wont have to remove needles at all.

- Mon Sep 01, 2008 6:40 am #67911 That's pretty neat, sir.. It's like adding a backfilm to the gauge. May I ask, have you tried "mylar"? It's also a type of paper, more like a film but I'm sure you'll like to test that out too.

I used to work at a printing shop, I know vellum is a bit cloudy.
But hey, props to you for coming up with that idea.

The only thing is I'm in the UK if you could PM me I'm sure we could sort something out.

Also I really like this idea and think I could shift these on UK forums for you if you want.

Only thing I would say is that UK clocks go up to 140mph

I would say in a "audio comp. related car" cause IMO this would take away from the JDM concept, but then again I've seen some pretty wild stuff over here in Japan so it might just be exactly what you would see in JDM. Also in the example you gave in the first post, did you intentionally not continue the girl's arm from the RPM dial to the MPH dial?

And I'm only over here for 2 yrs. && I leave at the end of Nov. So I guess it will be MPH for me.

BTW I am interested in this idea..Maybe the pic in my sig.(-) the words. Props for the work.

i got my cluster open now..
coz im figuring out how to incorporate the
CTR effect on my EG,, what am i saying was
i like my cluster lights to turn red when the vtec
kicks in.. same as the civic type R

do you have other themes for that??
