No power in car...Need help quick!!

- Thu Aug 14, 2008 1:04 pm #65908 I left for work this morning and i when i shifted in second, everything died, no stereo no dome light nothin but the 4way flashers. the batterry is full and i just changed my alternator last friday. can someone point me out to where the prob could be?

your help is grately appreciated!

- Thu Aug 14, 2008 3:18 pm #65927 already did, everything looks A1 and still i turn my key and nothing at all turns on. as if i unplugged the batt but when i turn the 4ways it goes on, and if i try to turn on the radio or try to start the motor, nothing goes on at all. its puzzling me like a bitch...

1. you were recently messing with your electric system.
2. everything died when you shifted into second. that jerks the engine/car a little when you let out the clutch, which may have caused 2 wires to touch.

both the 4 wire plug and the single thick white positive wire are still connected on the alternator?

So the only thing that works is the 4 ways? Even the 4 ways will work with very little juice, much less than is needed to start the car.

How are you checking the battery?
