The thicker black hose on the catch can runs to the plastic nipple on the black crank case box.
If I left the nipple in the IM unplugged, then I would have a major vacuum leak.

So you just plugged the nipple on the IM that would lead to the charcoal canister and removed that whole assembly?
If I understand that all correctly, I'm still wondering about the consequences of leaving the nipple on your intake unplugged.![]()
