#354637 Electrical

WireTuck / Fuse box and battery relocation
the only thing i am to purchase is the material for the battery/fuse box relocation. therefore, terminals, wires etc. the electrician's fee includes wiring (the complete car as well) and the modified loom. i just need to call him once i am finished with the mechanical and interior aspects of the car

Lighting
need to install my LED bulbs. they have been ordered but not yet recieved

#354638 Exterior

Currently the body of the car is completely sprayed and cleared. it is not the final paint as i have a gallon of glasurit AUDI red which i intend to use for the final coat. while the color looks pretty good as is (recall it hasnt even been buffed as yet), i am unhappy with some areas of the car (wales etc). as a result i do not want to use the final product until these blemishes are resolved.

realistically, i am not sure when i can do this, as money to do this can be pumped into others areas and therefore result in a quicker relelase. based on this, the car may just be buffed and released. i can look to correct it in the future when the car is on the road. they are still however some stuff left to do as it relates to the exterior

outstanding to purchase
EG6 stock front lip, trailing arm bushings, brake pads, bonnet raisers, hood latch (want to delete my complete lock and cables), tyres

outstanding to spray and install (i will use some of the glasurit to do these)
door handles, side moldings, wing mirrors, both rear door thingys (the part that has ferio on it), whatever you call those inserts on the window part of the doors, running board and the inserts in my front bumper (black)

#354639 Interior

i pretty much have all the pieces for my interior, including carpet. its just to finish spraying and have them installed. i also have my rear seats, which i also intend to spray. the only thing i really need to purchase are the front seats. i have purchased but have not yet received my black w/red stitch steering, my momo pedals and my shifter kit including knob and black w/red stitch boot.

the roof of the car has been completely wrecked... i will access the roof of the other car to see if it can be used, maybe require upholstering but atleast the main support is there

i will explain the interior in more detail shortly, as it is the very next thing i am going to work on

#354877 wow... so much information. during my research i have been seeing a lot of conflicting posts on this topic. of all the information obtained a few seems to be more prevalent and therefore i am more leaning towards this information.

i am going to post a few excerpts from some of what i have seen

first the definition from http://help.injectordynamics.com/

Fuel filters are rated in microns. A micron is a unit of measurement, equivalent to .000039 inches. (39
Millionths of an inch.) The symbol for micron is µ, though you don't see it too often in fuel filter ads.

To put this into perspective, a human hair is about 100 microns in diameter. Anything less than about 30-40 microns
can no longer be seen with the naked eye. A '10 micron' filter will block contaminants larger than 10
microns, and let those smaller than 10 microns pass.

from http://hondatech.com

I'm presuming you're running an in-tank pump with a filter on it - and if so, that filter is 25 micron to protect the pump. Your injectors require finer filtration, so putting a 40 micron filter after a 25 micron filter would accomplish absolutely nothing.

You need 10 micron before the injectors because the inlet screens in the injectors are 7-8 micron.
So any particle larger than 10 microns gets trapped in the outlet filter.
Particles between 7 and 10 microns get trapped in the injector inlet screens.
Particles smaller than 7 microns flow right through everything.

You wouldn't want every particle between 7 and 40 microns getting trapped in the injectors because as they plug up, flows will drop off.

from http://www.civiclife.net/

The injector screens are 6-7microns I believe. So it goes like this:

PUMP FILTER (25-40microns) ---------> FIREWALL FUEL FILTER (10microns) ---------------> INJECTORS (6-7microns)

#354878 based on the information above, i went ahead and ordered the
"VMS INLINE FUEL FILTER -6 AN6 6AN BLUE - 10 Micron"

also purchased a pair of
"EAR-165056 Earl's -6 AN Male To 5/16 Hardline Tube Fuel Line Adapter Compression".
this is really cool stuff, it eliminates the need for you to buy sleeves and to flare your hard lines to accept AN6. this is a simple adapter that converts your AN5 hardlines to AN6 by just cutting the hard lines and connecting the adapter.. sweet!!

Hopefully my pc will be up by then so I can post some pics
