#329369 this was in honda tuning a few months ago. the level of detail that has been put into this car rivals muscle cars.

#329375 im unsponsored and have a k20a type r swap with hybrid goodies even the griffin half mass radiator for mine and my engine is built, as well as the trans, im doing all the work myself, this guys car is fantastic, the quality in body work home versus proffesional paint n body shop is alot, i still have a full race turbo kit to purchase this summer

i sell insurance and am very good at it so i bring home the bacon if you know what i mean, its all about saving up and getting what you want done, i do however

want to go willwood with my brake set up but seeing as he has it already i may go aem if they are still available had them on my gsr and was fantastic!

true, I get what your saying, it sucks but if you want it bad enough you will do it.

when you buy a ***t tone of parts from Honda they will give you a massive discount especially on nuts and bolts, and your local dealership may not be the way to go, there is autofair Honda that has fair prices, my local dealership wanted to charge me 17 dollars a strut tower nut.... go FU** yourselves.

save up 3k call hybrid those guys can make things happen for 3 grand, everything you need to start it up...

#329410 hey bro, how old are you? im curious, i checked out your ride, it looks fresh. :thumb:

is your civic an auto?

you could do a rsx base model swap in there for cheap, but the issue is k series make power off compression, the base model k20a3 is 9.8:1 compression with a vtec head that acts like the sohc d16z6, single action vtec,

or save up and find a decent k20a2 swap, 6speed plus real vtec plus 11.1:1 compression! woot woot!

just sayin....

#329412 I just bought $680 in suspension nuts and bolts and bushings. I didn't get the discount. In the last 20 year's I've bought 6 new Hondas from them and probably $20,000 in parts for my older ones. I never got a discount on the older stuff.

#329414 im sorry but i could not be able to justify spending almost 40k on a civic...the attention to detail was ridiculous but if you wanted a track car then an s2k would of been the logical choice if you wanted to stay honda

#329419 i've checked on this post a few times since the start. for a track car i'd rather start with a DX over an SI. more weight in the SI and you have to remove the sunroof. but if you have the money like this guy why not.

i guess it comes down to finding that clean shell.

That's some extreme OCD right there! And just to give everyone else a heads up I read through this entire thread, all 26 pages worth and damn, this is unbelievable! The guy works for Hybrid and has been for the last 9 years. The attention to detail and literally replacing every little bolt and nut is something I sure a shit can not compare to. Haha

As Juice said, no idea why he kept with the bolt in instead of welding it, since it paint matched and all I say he should have welded but to each their own. Every time I keep thinking of how he probably spend a few thousand on different styles of pedal assembly's and ended up sticking with OEM because the rest wouldn't fit. Damn.

Crazy build, insane amount of work that some people dream to achieve.
