- Sat Nov 17, 2007 12:54 am #30277 I replaced my radiator today, had the car running for 30 minutes, and drove it for 10, and it didn't kick in, only time i ever hear it kick in is when it is warmer then 15C and i am at a stop like idling.

- Sat Nov 17, 2007 9:03 pm #30333 it only turns on after a certain temp is reached, and shuts off after it gets down to the right temp again. it could take a while to warm up enough to get it to turn on. Ive seen some cars take almost an hour.

yep, this is how the fans work, unless you bypassed the switch and put in a continuous power flow to it. if you modified the wiring then the fan would turn as long as the engine is on.

i live in a tropical country, and my radiator fan turns on every 2 to 3 minutes on idle during the day. haha sucks.
