- Tue Dec 04, 2012 8:26 pm #321556 well havent updated for a couple weeks, but i did manage to get my axles in, i did have an issue with the passenger one not wanting to seat in the wheel hub, so i said screw it ill do the other one and come back to it, so put the other one in, got it seated fine, after deciding to use the axle nut to seat it properly, crawled under the car and saw the other one didnt seat right in the tranny, got it in right and it seated great as well. just need to take care of shift linkage, exhaust and a couple wiring odds and ends, and she should be ready for fluids.

- Sun Dec 30, 2012 6:33 pm #323011 well its been awhile since i last updated my thread, but havent got alot done, been working alot and just recently got laid off due to only being temporary work, but im hopin to get a call back in a few weeks to be hired permantly, havent been able to work on the car much, just few hours here and there....heres a couple pics

it snowed not much but just enough to cause discomfort during tinkering

and i decided since i redid almost everything else on the car might as well redo the engine harness properly

had some issues when i put the harness back in...

red represents where i had to solder and shrinkwrap the wire back together, it got cut somehow.

the yellowish green is somehow to short and wont reach the nipple above where the oilfilter goes...i tried every which way to make it reach...but it wouldnt, so im going to to trim my vtec wires and use some on that to lengthen it.

and the blue is what i have to solder back onto the tranny, couldnt get the damn thing off either tranny so i just cut the fucker.

but other than that i just have to put my exhaust on and my shift linkage, and get some axle nuts, the ones autozone gave me were for a 29 mm axle, and were about 10 bucks cheaper than the ones i needed, and i finally got my last paycheck so ima take care of that this week, and hopefully get her re-registered in time so that when taxes come i can get another honda, thinking a mid 90's 4dr accord with f series vtec :D has to be auto though for the wife haha but it would be a daily so i can work on my coupe when i wanted without being stranded...i hope everyone had a good holidays and has a great new years.

EDIT: although it looks like my brake lights are on they aren't...or they shouldnt be if they are haha, no battery and the lights arnt even hooked up to the wiring yet, i got lazy, and yes i know my vtec wires are unsightly long, not my doing, previous owner...dont know why he used so much damn wire, but it works i guess lol.

- Thu Jan 03, 2013 10:04 pm #323238 well small update, im going to the honda dealer today to order my axle nuts and antenna block off kit, also going to pick up some mtf, decided to go against using synthetic 10w30 like some people told me, don twant to risk it, plus ill only be spending a couple bucks more per qt anyway, better safe than sorry...still dont know what to do about a cat, debating whether to just run header/downpipe only or order a cheap test pipe..opinions?

also wanted to see if they had oem front bumper panels....275 plus tax :shock: :o :( i dont trust ordering one online, and i havent checked junk yards yet...but ill just roll bumperless for now.

also i been going over everything, and i heard you should bench bleed to brake master cylynder, how do you do that, and do i have to hand time my dizzy before i put it back on since i set my motor to tdc without it on?

even changed to little filter on the VC to match my aiffilter and other stuff


also does this look right for the throttle cable?

found the little bracket and painted it and it seems right but i cant remember

- Thu Jan 10, 2013 1:37 am #323634 well igot my parts from honda today, so now im just waiting to get my plugs and wires, and my "high flow" cat, haha still having issues with the bitch pin on the jdm import, they just cut the linkage, so i have to deal with that bitch pin and im golden, got the brakes all hooked up and ready to be filled and bled, then i just need to install my wiring harness and hopefully small adjustments here and there and she should be good to go.

- Thu Jan 10, 2013 2:08 am #323646 thanks, its been a long and frustrating year or so for me, but i have to give a GIANT shout out to all the guys here for keeping me in the game and giving me great advice (teal, eh2_andy, and everyone else who delt with my annoying and pesky noob questions) :lol: but hopefully i wont blow this one up untill i get another car, i know what i have in my car now and i feel better knowing i did things right and didnt cut corners, made the car that much better and safer! thanks again guys!

i was inside for maybe 25 min and it was clear and dry out this morning and now...

vms performance came through awesome, ordered em last friday and got EXACTLY what i was told i was getting..i hate buying things online because you cant look at them but im glad i did this time, thats all for now, may go out to swap plugs and put new wires on if i do ill snap pics, ps its still snowing here :(
