Haha, well hopefully I'll be getting a new exhaust manifold soon, but I like this look for now.

Bad news, looks like someone played with my driver side brake line while i was out last night. It was leaking out bad and had no brakes driving home so i guess the EJ is down for the mean time. Gonna go ahead and change the master cylinder while I'm at it.

I began to fix my braking problem.

So, I began by removing the line. Pretty simple, one 10mm up top, remove one clip, and follow the hose down to the mounting brackets (10mm), then to the brake caliper itself (14mm). Should leave you with this:

Image

You can go to the junkyard and repeat the steps. Luckily I have a parts car in the backyard:
Image

Cut was bigger then i thought:
Image

Both are exactly the same, so i continued on:
Image

Intalling the brake line is simple, just do a reverse of what you did when you pulled it:
Image

Very important step, make sure you put this clip back on to hold the line from moving:
Image

Tighten the top 10mm again, it isnt going to go all the way in, but make it tight to prevent leaking:
Image

Now for the master cylinder:
Image

There are 2 12mm nuts holding it on the car and 2 10mm nuts attached to it on hardlines. remove the ones connected to the hardline first. then remove the 2 12mm:

Donor car:

And it should be able to be pulled right off:

Compared the really fast:

Repeat steps and you're finished. Make sure the threads on the hardline are hand started and do not cross thread those. They are copper and they will be a pain to try and get off. Final product:

But before you're done, bleeding brakes is a must for all 4 brakes. Pretty sure all of us know how to bleed brakes so i didnt take pictures.

#307433 Nice. I did a write up on changing your brake booster. That corner is so hard to get stuff in and out of. Good work though :thumb:

Thanks! Can always count on you to leave me some feedback lol. But bad news is this brake master cylinder is bad as well. So I will have to replace it and bleed my brakes again. But good news is, car wont be completely torn down like before.

Plans now are:
Remove tranny, and mount (since my friend needs it back)
Install b16 tranny
Buy new plugs, wires, cap
Wait for my hasports to come it and reassemble

Updates will come as progress is made.

#307636 Cars looking better and better, sucks about the master. Just don't forget to bench bleed that thing when you put the new one on. Makes a huge difference.

I've never heard of that, but just googled it and wish I did it. My brakes havent felt the same since the line was cut.

But on another note, did some work lately. Starting with the mount.

Put in an OEM one so I could give my friend's innovative one back:

Bye innovative mount :( :

Painted my other mouldings:

Snapped a terrible pic with my brothers car:

Then my friend snapped some pics: (All were before I adjusted my ride height, hate how uneven it was in these pics)
