so i got the block in the basement with the help of a friend and yesterday i took the crank out... heres some pics.

so now that the whole motor is apart im thinking the head is actually ok and that the chunks that were found in the oil pickup were clearly from the main bearings... I still plan to take the head apart and check it over.

man do not paint this car, i love your color, if anything just get it wet sanded and a nice polish after and it will look stelar

I bought it this color and the guy said it was electron blue pearl but it definatly is not haha I'm not sure what the code is and I need to do bodywork cause I have rust that's why I considered a different color

Haha yea but with my plans hopefully peoples eyes will be drawn away from the rust and ill get all that fixed next winter. There's a place in my town that matches paint very very well so getting the same color wouldn't be too bad.

Started to look into the head the other day. heres the pics.
nothin ike a lil bit of bearing shavings in your vtec sylinoid...
looks like #4 was burning the most oil...
still gotta take the valves out, hopefully i can get to that this weekend and make sure everything is all good with the valve guides.
heres a video from wek fest that my brother made... you can see the oil blowin out my tailpipe haha

so plans have sort of changed after assessing my financal situation haha. Paying for college and other debuts... so heres the "new" plan
For the block:
re-hone, decked, hot tanked
new main bearings, rod bearings and piston rings
use the stock pistons and rods
ARP rod bolts and head studs
full gasket kit
For the head:
put it back together with new seals and gaskets
Then the plan is to boost my freshly rebuilt B16 (within reason)
And over summer once i get my hatch running again i want to find a gsr block and build that low compression to put my b16 head on and make it a poor mans type r on boost.
Also picked up a turbo kit from a friend (Thanks Hatchsnatcher!)
has all the piping for an eg. HKS bov, t3/t4 50 trim ebay turbo with a vibrant elbow welded to it, wastegate with 15 pound spring and a screamer pipe, a pretty thick front mount, and a custom wleded downpipe
the intercooer piping is all cutom welded 3inch aluminum piping
needs some polishing and itll all be bright and shiny like the one spot is
i just mached it up to see ;how much cutting ill have to do to the bumper
i wanted to keep the grill in the bumper originally but now im thinking im going to cut it out so its just all wide open but still clean looking.
below you can see how much more i need so it will bolt up
the piping was custom welded to go off the intake mani and to the corner and down through the stock hole for the airbox... which i shaved.
so im hoping that a friend and i will be able to cut and weld the piping so it goes off the intake mani, over the trans, then down and arount to the front mount.
the drivers side wont need modifying though

also finally got pics of my buddy club cam gears and glowshift volt, oil pressure, and oil temp, and wideband.

i cut the faceplate for my gauges, just need to figure out the best way to cut the circles for the gauges in the cf
trying to clean up all the wiring from the tuck and figure out a better way to mount my fusebox.

took out the srs harness. i have a cf airbag delete tray and plan to get a aftermarket steering wheel so i decided to take it out to free up some room under the dash
and picked up a blox manual boost controller
