- Mon Nov 14, 2011 4:16 pm #281434 Unless you find super amazing deals 1200 really isn't enough to do a turbo build. but is is a good start, atleast were I live taking it to a place to have it tuned is not cheap. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm just saying me personaly I would save more to get some quality parts and make sure that everything tuned really good. Cuz I've herd time and time again about people throwing a cheap turbo setup together and it last 6 months and blows.....but obviously its personal prefrance :thumb:

- Thu Nov 17, 2011 9:54 pm #281831 If thats for the engine alone and your doing the work yourself you prolly will barely make it. Pistons, rods, block guard. And if you have a cylinder hone bit for a drill you can do most of it yourself.

there are sites out there that sell vitara pistons with i think shot-peened LS rods for D's pretty cheap. do those with some head studs and you'll be good
