Compression Test done.

Results

Cyl 1 - 150
Cyl 2 - 150
Cyl 3 - 150
Cyl 4 - 60

Something just isnt right there... Wet Test should be next, but I just dont care at the moment. Runs fine the way it is. If it craps out, oh well.

Yesturday, it started runnin like shit all of a sudden. Turned out the T belt decided it didnt like where it was on the cam gears. So it tried a new location for the hell of it. I bent it over my knee and spanked it back in to the right position. Timing is back at 16* BTDC. All is good besides some strange random rattle noice. Still not sure what it is, or where its really coming from.

maybe a bad valve or bad ring, for #4

- Tue Jul 12, 2011 7:51 am #263288 Car runs hard again. Bad cyl. doesnt seem to affect too much. I wont worry about that for now. I need to find this rattle soon. I dont think it will affect the motor, but I cant be sure. Its my daily so Ive been driving it still. Just got 30 mpg out of the first tank even with it jumping timing and running like ass for about a day. In that day it dumped about half a tank of gas into the motor... I also got on it quite a bit. Its been a while since Ive driven the car and needed to break the rust free, and try to knock the dust off.

My car look like a beat up trash heap right now too. Black bumper, rusted hood, bashed up drivers fender, darker dented passenger fender and no side skirts. All with a rear bumper that looks like it wants to come off. I hope no one looks at it and wants to steal it.

- Tue Aug 02, 2011 6:11 am #265890 The rattle still persists. I cant quite pinpoint it. Im thinking it has to do with the Timing Belt Tensioner. The spring or something like that. It only makes itself known just above idle up to about 2k. Getting a new Belt and tensioner just because either way.

Ive had it running now for a while and have had time to check the MPG the car gets based on driving styles.

Seeing that the car has a B16a tranny and it has stupid short gears, Im at 3500 rpm at 60. If I keep it there or under I can get 37 mpg.

Though if I have fun and drive the car, Ill get like 20...

I think the huge variance is due to the overwhelming fuel smell I get after starting the car and at times at idle at lights. Thinking the seals for the injectors are bad. Gonna replace them as well.

You really dont know what you are talking about do you?

I do love the transmission, I am just getting tired of the rattle and lack of radio stations. I really need to get a better radio and Honda needs to let me know when my shit comes in...I ordered O rings for my Injectors almost a month ago. I need to get the tensioner for the Tbelt I have, but I have a feeling it will take them another month to get that.

Everything else on the car seems to be doing just fine. Rusted hood is still rusted, dented fender is still denter and.....the Azenis are still great!

- Fri Sep 30, 2011 10:10 pm #275479 Just picked up some parts for some maintenance. Hopefully this will stop the fuel smell and the rattle.

New Injector seals and Timing belt and tensioner.
