#263905 So last night me n my friends put my head back 2gether, put it back on time, n plugged everything back up. At 1st the fuel pump was not kicking on n we traced it down 2 a ground wire. So now everything works but my car won't start.
Heres wat we have done:
Rewired wiring harness n put it back on.
Replaced DSM 440cc injectors with stock 240cc injectors.

The car does crank n everything but won't start, at 1 point it wanted 2 start but didn't. I wonder if it could b my spark plugs that r done, but they were brand new b4 i blew my headgasket. My swap is a ls/vtec. b18b1 with 98 gsr head. I am getting fuel n spark. Why is my car not starting?

Double check your timing.

Thinking of getting a timing gun instead of doin it by sight.

#264700 He's talking about checking timing via the belt and TDC marks. I refer to it as "mechanical" timing.

It all lines up.

#264715 Figured it out. It was the coil. But i took it out 4 a spin n it died. Now the car starts but it'll die almost immediately. I gotta start it n hit the gas quick, almost like it doesn't have an idle.

So it was the coil? did u replace with new? if it's dieing after start up. that's you have to mess with the cam gears
move the tbelt by a tooth..

LS vtecs are never going to be in proper timing it will always be slighty off as mentioned in the other posts..

adjustable cam gears could resolve that right?

I've read alot about how ls/vtec timing will b slightly off. N the other day me n my friend swapped our main/fuel relay n his was messing up n we just remember i still have his messed up 1 on my hatch so i wonder if this is also the problem. He has a D series swap. Idk if that would affect it or not.
