Project "I change my damn mind too much" 95 civic

- Fri Jul 08, 2011 3:29 am #262764 Well i just got back into the honda thing, i havent owned one in 2yrs, and i found a cleanish sedan. Its 95% rust free, it needs a few minor things.

Here are my plans for the car

Exterior/wheels:
Custom Rally lightbar(100% removable, WINTER ONLY!)
Spoon style mirrors(getting off my old sedan)
JDM Feiro wing
Antenna block off
Redo DS & PS quarters
Repaint trim Black(Trim paint)
16x7 Impul R1's
205/40/16 tires(kumho ecsta AST)


Suspension & Brakes:
ASR rear sway bar kit
Goodridge SS lines
Integra Fron hubs and brakes
Hawk HPS pads
OEM Drums
OEM Shoes
OEM shoe hardware
Function Form v.1 Coilovers
Blox Purple LCA's
New OEM bolts


Interior(staying OEM tan):
OEM Audio console(Tan)-HAVE!
OEM Armrest(Tan)-HAVE!
Bride GIAS Low max racing seats
Sparco Harness bar(or similar)
Takada harnesses
EDM cluster-HAVE!


Exhaust:
OEM Type R


Motor:
Automatic B18b swap
OEM Type R header

caant wait for progress pictures.

since your staying with an auto trans, you thought about gettin it beefed up? like shift kit, manual valve body, or a stall converter? ive never heard about these kinda mods for a honda auto but it might be worth checking into

EDIT: do you know what color blue that is?

I have no clue what color it is(some cheapo paint from Walmart)

and i did plan on getting a 2800rpm stall converter for the car as well as a trans cooler. I dont beat on my cars that often so i dont think the car will get to the point it would need valve body work.

The blue isnt staying at all.

I got a ton done today

Installed armest(tan)
Installed Stereo
Installed new door handles
Got new wheels(16" motegi Mr7's with brand new tires)
Removed vinyl shit from windshield
Fixed corner light mounting



Found how my car is lowered :( FUCKING CUT SPRINGS! soo glad the guy i got it from included a set of Ebay coilovers(yes i know they arnt the greatest).

I have to lift the car up to clear the tires in the front they are rubbing on the seam on the frame rail but since the springs are cut i have to change them regardless.

I also found out that my Steering rack is leaking on the DS and there is 1" of play on that side, so i think i need to find a new rack :(


The car does have brand new infinity speakers

Wheels are Borbet Type H not my favorite style of wheel but the wheels i had received in trade for the BSA mesh wheels had tires that were way too big.

The tires arnt perfect on the borbets (80% front 70% on one rear and 45% on another w/camber wear)

Im going back for the CDM steering wheel(non srs,its TAN too) best part is they only want $25 for it and its in awesome shape.

- Thu Sep 01, 2011 3:35 pm #269952 The civic is looking pretty good. The Blue/Tan actually go well color scheme wise, I didn't except that. I am also surprised how rust free it is for a Michigan Car.

I love my 2004 WRX automatic Wagon. Its super comfortable, tons of power, awesome automatic transmission, even the stock suspension is awesome. The automatic tranny AWD is a detuned version of the subaru Rally AWD. It works awesome, Way better then the Manual AWD.

When looking at WRX's. Try to get an 04+ WRX, they will have better seats and better oem struts.

That said I miss my '93 Civic sedan. It had its issues, however I still miss it even though i have my WRX.

Friends are trying to convince me to get a forester XT. and the rust on the sedan had been repaired at one point. and the DS was done shitty.

I have purchased the following:

Hella 700ff Driving lights
Hella Supertone horns

I'll have them installed on saturday along with pictures.

And Sunday i am picking up a set of 15" Firestone Winterforce snow tires,a set of 16" Wheels with BFG tires, and another OEM optional audio console(its black though)


I regret selling the Tan one as i'll now have a Black one unless i get the SEM Interior Dye for plastics(primer and Tan dye) and dye it tan.
