shift knob of choice?

- Sun Apr 17, 2011 7:32 am #250798 I have a Type R Shift knob from eBay. Looks Identical to the S2000cr shift knob but only with red numbering. Slapped that Right on top of my Megan Short Shifter From Core Sport. :thumb:

hahaha

passwordjdm has a shift knob made out of some hard, heavy plastic. I'm thinking about trying either it, or the brass one.

Pilot motorsports carbon fibber. Been through 4 cars, and soon a fifth....
Sure it's cheap, and light but I don't believe in the weighted shift knob, and it feels nice. I'll admit I haven't used weighted, so do you feel a difference?? If so, what is it, and have you proven it on the track or in some other way??

- Thu Oct 13, 2011 1:10 am #277491 I made this one on a lathe out of a piece of aluminum round stock. It's a bit big. I think it's 2" in diameter if IIRC. The edges look sharp, but they wont cut. I used a piece of sandpaper as I was finishing to knock the edges off and give it a brushed look. I may make one more in a smaller diameter.
