#242628 so i must ask y would it have cracked like that? is just that you put too much power to an old block or that the build was just crack because the block is to weak for that much power? i'm asking because i'd like to boost my car in the future and i has to be relable bc its my DD. and if the block crack i'm be kind of shit of of luck if you know whatg i mean.

#242629 Ryan.. The block must had a weak spot there or when tightening that coolant drain back it was tightened too much that it made a hair line crack in the thread . and with the boost pressure made it worst. shit happens. repair. re-enforce the area and back at it again!!! =] :woot:

good effin job though im right behind ya!!

My guess is the block just cant handle it. Speedfactory broke their block this exact way at 628hp. As long as you keep your goals under 600, your're good to go ;)

Thanks! Already working on the repair ;) I think stress period caused this due to a block that should never have been pushed this far haha

#242854 Pretty sure his was a z6 also. But he used water/meth, which greatly aids in keeping temps down, and heat plays a huge role in this kind of thing.

#242932 Thanks guys. Talking with James at Speedfactory, we both have pretty much the same conclusion on the cause and fix for this. :) It's only a matter of time now.
