#219341 thanks dude :thumb:
this thing needs a lot of work haha
im up for it

next plans maybe over winter if i get ambitous and can find a winter truck
replace upper and lower ball joints maybe wheel bearings
replace trailor arm bushing
replace all bushings with poly
replace my shitty torque mounts and diy solid mounts
header and new cat
weld new 1/4 panels in
swap over my good doors from my old eg
spray it white rattle can probably
get a street tune
put my springs and struts in and get sticky tires
that should be enough work for a while

maybe bore out my d16z6 and build a back up motor :?

#224373 how much fast is the z6/d15bv over the b7 in the sedan??

im buying a b7 block wit a d15bv head and i know its gonna be faster
but is it alot quicker, u know wat i mean? is it worth it?

#224375 hell yeah its worth it
alot smoother power and its just a fun motor
iv been messing with my timing a bit if you get an adjustable cam gear advance your timing like4 degrees for over all power
if you want high end go to like 12 or 15 advanced haha
pulls hard at 4k lol real hard
but yes its worth it and get an ex/si trans and your good to go

#224377 i guess ill take this time for an update since its been a while
i put my new coilovers and struts in the front and basically cam to a halt when i went to put the rears in
broke 3 bolts
and now im just waiting till i have some cash for new lca's and camber adjustment
been doing little things like a dead switch and working on my own security system will post pics whenever theres real progress

well im gettin the motor complete for 300 comes with a aem cam gear and dc header and unknown about the internals or head work,

so set the timing at 16*btdc then adv it 4*
and im just stick with my b7 trans for now, unless u can conver cable trans to hydro then i might beable to get this guys trans too(swap is outta a ef)

#224380 id drive it first before you play with timing but wjat i did was
stock timing plus 4* advanced and i feel like i gained good all around power but my motor is close to 10.1 to 1 compression so you might not get the same gains but id try it haha no harm you can always put it back to stock
as for hydro cable conversions it can be done idk how easily tho
the ex si trans are the best trans ever
its crazy how much they help
and if your swapping tranies get a 10lb flywheel

#224381 oh ok so it depends on the CR cool
but ya i was just wornderin cuz i herd that there not much faster cuz the sedans weigh like 2300 lbs. but i cant wait to do my swap, im repainting my bay and gonna clean and prob paint the motor too :thumb:
