So yesterday i was driving home and just as i was getting home i noticed that the temperature was above average but i was so close to home it didnt matter. I get home check everything no coolant in the oil everything checked out good. Today on the way to work about a 20-25 minute drive same thing happen as i get close to work i seen it creeping up again but i countinued to drive and then it started to drop back down to normal temp. and stayed there. Any idea on why this would happen? Maybe the thermostat is sticking?

Sounds like the fan ain't turning on...
Go out for a 20 min drive, pull over leave it idling an check if the fan turns on, if it doesn't then that is your problem, You can also check the fan motor by bridging the two pin fan switch with the ignition 'ON' If it doesn't turn on that means your motor or switch is broken, if it does turn on then I'd say it be a problem in the wires.
Why it started to drop back, is that since you were moving your getting the air into your radiator an it starts too cool it down, that's why you will notice it starts to overheat in city driving, and it stays fine when your up at speeds.
