#215555 I checked my cam timing and found out that it was of with the stock cam gear.
At a D16z6 and D15z1 it should look like that

but it looked like this when the crank is at TDC

So i used an adjustable cam gear to get it to the right specs.

Crank TDC

#215601 motor build looks sweet, quick question, how come you didn't upgrade any of your internals? or at least freshen them up.

#215619 Can't believe I have never seen this post before. This is an amazing inspiration. I was very close in buying a DC2 for a DD and stop spending on the EG. After reading through this entire post, I'm not buying a DC2 any longer, I'm going to continue to carry on with my EG project.

You have definitely inspired me with your efforts!

One question (which is probably a stupid question), if your EG was not an import, how come you have rear SIR panels? Obviously you would of purchased them, but I heard that they will not fit into another EG, only an import chassis. Am I correct? I love the rear seats folded down, one of the main reasons why I should of purchased an import. On the other hand, if you managed to fit the import rear seat and panels into a standard EG, the brilliant! :D

Amazing car, such an inspiration!

There is no need for an upgrade, stock rods and pistons will hold up to 220hp and this is a number the engine will never see. My goal is to keep it simple and cheap so i decided to work with stock parts where its possible. I just rehoned the bore and put new bearings and skrews in it so thats for refreshing. This combo will raise my compression from stock 9,2:1 to 11,3:1 with stock parts :D

@iChrist
To get the SIR into my ride i had to cut the upper brakets that are weldet to the domes, weld a new braked in the rear where the backpart combine and welded new hex nuts into the flor.

And thank you for the kind words!
