I get a cel light and go into limp mode when I try to go past 3k only when driving. When not driving I can rev to 7 k. Cel will stay until next start up it goes away. Any ideas??????

have you checked to see what CEL code it's throwing?

These "I got a CEL what's wrong with my car?" threads are always good fun. With enough practice we'll all become psychic.
The code is stored in the ECU. Jumper the diagnostic plug and retrieve it.

Those codes aren't too common on OBD1 cars... are you sure you're reading them right?

got any friends with a EG that would let you try their ECU? see if it flashes the same..
and a 20 and a 4 code would look like...

Yeah thats what the code looks like. Well i tested the Edl in the fuse box and the ground for it isnt working. Now im gonna have to trace the wires and see why i have no ground right?
