#203953 Yep if it cranks but wont start more than likely its the immobiliser. Think it cuts 2 circuits, injectors and something else from info i found.

If its been locked by key then remote pressed it'll arm it. If you then open with the key it'll not set the alarm off but it'll be immobilised (This happens everytime i get it from my mechanic as he uses the key and i use the remote lol ).

I have a red LED on top of the steering wheel that flashes when armed yep but in day light looks off so have a closer look. If it is flashing then once your in the car just hit the remote once and it should remove it .

If its not flashing its not immobilised and problem lies elsewhere.

Its a good system , has bonnet release sensor and you should see 2 little stalks either end of the dash which are the shock/impact sensors.

It'll arm itself if you disconnect and re-connect car battery too .

I don't know about the glove box lock though i dont have it , could be an aftermarket kill switch? Pic would be interesting.

You got some nice bits on that car, i got the remote lock security system , optional Honda alloys and previous guy just put on 4 new Pirelli's , installed rear speakers and hide away cd player so although i half wanted an ESI for just £550 there were too many goodies (minus A/C lol).

Yours is in good condition bodywork wise , mine is Red and lacquer peeling off and bad arches but it lived by the coast for about 10 years which can't have helped.

#203982 lets start:)
battery in remote is empty, i should buy new one...that guy i buy car from changed battery recently, so alarm shloud be immobilised if it isn't turned off by remote right? LED is not flashing...

here is the lock in glove box, it's connected with cluster, and when it's locked cuts fuel, or whatever :)

this stalks?

i would really like to fix this thing, cause it's so rare, but first i have to buy battery :)

#203997 Fuel thing looks aftermarket , yep those stalks are the shock sensors.

Not sure about the immobiliser being on or not , if its not flashing it should be ok . With new car battery it will have armed it so the guy somehow must have de-activated it.

Definitely get a battery for the remote and have a play around its the cheapest way to rule out anything else.

If its aftermarket the fuel cut switch maybe he was fiddled with the immobiliser wiring or ignition stuff .

There is also a valet mode and a late set option on it.This will automatically alarm/immobilise the car 30 seconds after doors are shut so best buy a remote battery and take it from there.

#204284 i bought battery, remote is working, but i can't activate alarm...does anyone have electric scheme of alarm or what fuses alarm use? Bielawa? :)
By Bielawa1
#204844 Do the side lights flash when you use the remote? Both green indicating arrows should light up too when the alarm/immobiliser is set.Maybe you can disconnect and re-connect the car battery.

IF remote wasn't used by previous guy maybe he disabled it somehow and just relied on that fuel cut off switch but seems odd.

Would email Honda for the info .

#204848 dont forget to check and make sure that its actually the alarm and not just the map sensor or the main relay.. i called honda here and they said it would be 80 bucks for the part and 30 to install a new main relay and they want like 460 for a new map sensor... so i would go junk yard hunting.. worse case scenario you end up spending an afternoon and maybe 40 bucks on parts that you dont need.. but look on the bright side.. if you get another map sensor and it isnt the problem.. you can always sell me the map sensor.. :D

#204901 So if it's a factory alarm then it will have an interconnect harness. All you will have to do is go to your under-dash fuse box where the ignition harnesses plug in. Unplug the alarm harness and plug the ignition harness into the fuse box directly.

It's easy to pull an OEM alarm and swap it. Since it's a dealer option, it's all just plug and play. Just trace the wire harnesses down starting with that siren.

After replacing the battery on the remote, you will need to have the remote reprogrammed to the alarm. This is very easy on an aftermarket alarm but on the OEM, IDK. You'll have to search google or HT. It's probably the same as the more common Acura alarm.

#205150 Just out of curiousity and doubt i checked my glove box and there was a garage sticker that had been placed in the middle of it and behind it is the fuel kill same as yours. Only took 18 mths to find it.

The remote with new battery not arming the alarm sounds right to me , i have always been under the impression they need re-coding , mine needs replacing soon i think so about to cross that bridge too.

Think i knew someone with a late 90's Civic who paid around £20 at Honda for a re-coding .

#206701 I have the wiring diagrams for the USDM/CDM 92-95 Civic OEM Security System -- I'll gladly post them up, because I'm quite sure these will help you. But, first I want a bigger, better, high quality and in-focus photo of this image!

Here is a sample of the diagrams:

#209521 Did you get everything sorted with the alarm and swap it? Spoke to Honda and apparently for this system can change the fob battery without it needing re-coding.
