#201326 Hi, thought i'd start a different thread for this. As mentioned in Alarm fob thread i have a 94 Lsi hatch.

For the couple of years i've owned it the fog light symbol on the dash lights up/blinks and then goes off every minute or so. I've never worried as only used fogs once and they worked.

Tonight a biker followed me home to say both my White reversing lights were on whilst i was driving but means fogs obviously.Button definitely wasn't pushed in and never had this before, from what i've read on other cars its a bad earth.

Where on the EG4 would i be looking for fail points? Where are the earthing points on it?

About an hour before this happened couldn't get the remote locking to register with the car despite the led showing it was sending a signal to the car (Was at a petrol pump when it decided to do this typically).

This has never happened before then and then the locking/door mechanism gave up when i did get finally get in could this all be linked to a bigger electrical issue with the fogs or just a weird coincidence?

Appreciate any advice, thanks

#201332 have you messed with your car recently? like battery wise? any other lights coming on your dash?

there is like i think 5 gounding spots in the engine bay 1 behind the centre console in the dash and one behind the plasitcs in cargo area against the wall thats all i can think of.

#201564 if your keyless failed i'd check to see if its just the connections to your solenoids or if the whole alarm just isnt getting power... see if you cant get into programming (like when you register your fob). typically this consists of turning your ignition on and off x amount of times with some valet button pushes. all alarms are different so i cant tell you exactly how with yours but you can dig out your manual or download a pdf off of the manufacturers website to find out. if the alarm isnt reponsive check all the fuses and hot wires. if it is check the two connections running to your solenoids.

#201781 The fog light switch could be bad causing it to be stuck on or the fog light wiring could be grounded which would cause the same effect as the switch being on. To track this down you'd need a multimeter. It's really quite easy to test a switch and a wiring circuit, though most Honda people seem to shy away at the thought. Ten times easier than swapping an engine.

Lies!!
No really what suspendedHatch said is very true, I never used a multimeter but I know there very helpful.
