just boost your LS. your not gonna get 250whp out of it going NA without extensive parts/tuning

He is correct. it will take more money to get that much power with a ls/vtec or b20/vtec.

Its all in how well its tuned. If your car is tuned well then it shouldn't have any issues. Going turbo will have extra oil lines that can get damaged as long as they are in a place where they wont be pulled out you should be in good shape.

Brosef, get yourself a vtec head on that b18. Torque+vtec=:D It will rip, and won't affect reliability. Then, get yourself a nitrous kit but DONT GO CRAZY. Nitrous is only bad when you get greedy. A 65-75 shot will be well over 200 whp, and will be nice to your motor. Plus, nitrous is not a constant stress on the motor, like a turbo is. Reliability/Longevity +. Then you can walk the kiddies all you want. Nitrous tip: put a switch underneath your gas pedal. Put a switch on the dash or wherever to arm the system. Then, when you mash the gas, NITROUS> and you dont have to worry about holding down a button.

or just building an ls vtec without nitrous is a good deal. Im really considering building one soon

turbo ls, good tune, and buy good parts for your kit, and get a good tune, and if you drive it on the daily just keep your foot out of it and youll be fine, and i know the last one is easier said than done...
