#183631 come to think of it ive never seen the battery light come on in any honda... and ive driven hondas running on just the battery and hondasrunning on just the alternators...

however the battery light coming on in my old 3.1L Corsica meant the alternator was going bad and I ended up changing an alternator in the Taco Bell parking lot haha

#183694 i would say that it has to do with the altinator or its possible one of the cabels is not getting a good connection. check the power on the altinator and make sure no carrosion has happend and check the one goin to your fuse block. also run threw all the grounds on the motor. thats were i would start. also mabey take your battery in and check it to see if its holding a charge. if its good then have your altinator checked. if none of that works than im boggled.

#183869 Go to Sears and get a multimeter for $15. Set it to 20V DC and put the probes on the battery terminals with the engine running. It should be around 14 volts. Lower than 13 volts and it means your alternator isn't charging. Turn off the engine. Put the headlights on for about 15 seconds and then turn them off. Check the battery again but w/out the engine running. It should be high 10 to low 12 volts. Low 10 or even lower is a good indication that your battery is going bad. Have it checked by the parts store before you buy another one.

#183874 I'm pretty sure its going to be your alternator, i had that problem plenty of times, I've ran my car on a faulty battery but that light never came on, it wasn't until the alternator was going bad that the light started going on. I got another one, and it hasn't come back on.
