its low and has a good rumble
its a bit raspy at high rpms but nothing ricey
i rock all stock exhaust except for the muffler
i plan to buy n1 knock off catback and weld my muffler in place of the shitty ricey one

- Sat Jan 30, 2010 7:31 pm #172199 Well, I can get a 4in exhaust for free from a friend. Only thing is, it has the ricey looking burnt tip, and of course its 4in, so it looks huge and ricey. I might order a 3in and have it welded on for now. 4in is just to damn big for me, lol.

I really, REALLY don't want 4in muffler, but I can't find one with a 3in. What are the performance differences and what should I be looking for? Also, I was reading on one of them, and it said "VX model buyers should call before purchasing." Why did it say that? Is there a difference?

IMO, any of the mufflers that come with a removable silencer (even the $400+ Skunk2) SOUND LIKE GARBAGE. its slightly better with a aftermarket header, but still sounds like a fart cannon

The greddy and apexi's are all waaaay to expensive for an exhaust. I'm not a surgeon that gets paid $1,000 a week... lol.

look up cherry bomb turbo muffler
or flowmaster 40
or thrush welded
basically any muffler you can get at auto zone is what i would go with
get a real muffler tho
not just a straight thru design like a fart can
spend like 60 to 80 on a muffler and its going to sound good

such a waste of 500 bucks
i could build my own exhaust that sounds great and does the job for like under a hundred bucks if i had a welder
if i was doing my exhaust i would get ebay header and test pipe and b pipping and some sort of turbo muffler

sounds good till about 3000 rpm and works great till the cheap ass welds on the cheap ass catback start to break..... just bein honest.
