#169422 Ooook, well, I'm looking for a ls swap, and I'm wondering what all I will need to complete it so I have an idea of what to start getting and what exactly to be looking for.

Also, does a 00 teg manual ecu work for a ls, as in would this be along the lines of the kind of ecu I need.

Long, detailed answers are accepted, lol. I appreciate it, and if there is another thread (stickied or not) I apologize.

#169426 well i wont yell at you im sure there is another thread but here you go

youll need
integra ls motor (try and get a 94-95 as i research these seem to have the best intake design for our eg's....)
a ls transmission you can use a cable but get a hydro and it will be an easier swap....also if you can find a hydro case and a 93 cable trans you can swap internals

shift linkage
i was told the d series harness is best to use lengthen some of the wires and it everything plugs in etc... mainly was told teh integra harness requires rewireing repinging for it to match up corretly with the civic main harness etc not sure if true but to find a d15b7 harness is well like finding dust on the top shelf you never dust...

axels and make sure you get that intermidiate shafts....

aclutch timing belt and water pump etc...the one thing to look at is the d series stuff is cheaper than that of b series so its a bit more...

and now for the engine management....
the ecu for obd1 is a p75

you can use that obd2 ecu but youll need to use obd2 stuff....like injectors and youll have to use a obd2-obd1 ecu harness adapter.

now when looking for a motor id suggest getting everything with it. (exhaust manifold, intake manifold, etc....)

transmission id definately suggest trying to find either low miles or have the ability to drive it and make sure none of the gears grind

your better off depending on where you live and how many people you know buying a integra parts car....something that has rust but wasnt abused if you know what i mean.

Im sure he covered alot of this, but here goes anyways.


Use your stock engine harness.

Grab a obd1 P75. 94-95 LS ecu.

You will then need a B18b1. 94-01. But remember if you get a 96+ motor you will need to convert it to obd1 but getting the dizzy, injectors and alternator. Get the tranny along with this as well as the MOUNTS, T bracket and axles.


Then it becomes a plug and play swap. No special work needed.

I was hoping to find a da parts car to just go from there, but I can't find any around here atm.

Also, if I don't get the axles, is there another option? I was told that you can cut the fenders so they won't rub, which I don't plan on doing, but if this is true, then the other stuff he says I can believe as well, lol.

The motor should come with everything you need. IT SHOULD. Doesnt mean it will.

Well, you will want the stock axles. The only other options are more expensive. You need the axles to drive the car.

As for your cutting the fenders comment. WHAT THE FUCK are you talking about? You dont need to cut shit to put a LS motor in your car.

complete motor and trans from a teg. obd1 is easer.complet meaning it has all components on it like p/s pump, ac pump, altinator, starter and so on. it ease if you find a wrecked teg like i did. or buy one offline and it should come with everthing.

teg throttle cable
your stock harness is plug and play just have to move em around alittle

#169623 If you get an OBD-II engine that has the distributor, Password:JDM has an OBD-II to OBD-I jumper harness for the distributor so you can use your EG OBD-I harness. Just need to get OBD-I injectors or splice the OBD-II injector connectors in place of the OBD-I connectors. Also, if you get an OBD-II engine with an OBD-II alternator, sell that alternator. You won't need it because it has a different voltage regulator connector than the OBD-I alternator IIRC.

No way in hell do you need to cut your fenders to make this swap fit. Whoever told you that should be taken out back and beaten...
