#149185 500 rpm is alot if you think about it and take that to 7500rpm and thats a hell of alot of spinning mass....but yea even tho if you arent revving that high i wouldnt go over 10psi on stock sleeves id get performance ones since im sure if you boost your car your going to want to get more boost out of it and its best to build for the highest you think your gonna go....just in case

#149189 Roger that. It is only 500rpm, but it's 500rpm more at 7000rpm. Big difference there rather than 500-1000rpm or 1500-2000rpm...

Build it fully before boosting, IMO.

#149226 very very true.. that bieng why a lot (and i mean the people who researched) took the step away from the b20. yes boosting 2 liters is better but imagine cracking an ls like you said, the b20 has small walls. i know everyone should know that by now. lol but any you guys know anything as far as swapping cranks for more power? and how much thinner and weaker are b16 walls?

#149387 Good luck finding a B17 crank...

I'd go with the following for a boosted engine:

B18B1, sleeved and bored to 83mm.
B18B1 crank, micropolished and balanced with the pistons and rods.
CP 9:1 pistons and rings.
Manley TurboTuff rods.
ARP rod and main bolts.
Milodon oil pan tapped for turbo return line.
TODA high volume oil pump.
OE water pump.
Fluidyne crank pulley/harmonic dampner.
LS head, ported and polished.
Crower Turbo LS cams, stage 2.
Crower valve springs, and retainers/keepers.
Ferrea dished valves.
OE headgasket.
ARP headstuds, duh.
OE timing belt (because I can't find anyone who makes a high strength t-belt for the LS).
Fidanza 7.5lb flywheel.
Probably a Fidanza 3.2 or 4.3 clutch, depending on desired power output.

LS tranny with a Quaife ATB to top it off.

And of course a ridiculous tune.

Not sure which turbo I would use, or intake manifold. More than likely a VictorX IM and 65mm Edlebrock TB to go with it. As far as turbo, I have a friend with a turbo GSR pushing 325whp on a T3/T04. Kind of maxing out the turbo a bit.

jdmsol_kid: Thanks, I don't remember where I found it but I had to have it when I did...fortunately it was free. :woot:
