My thoughts also.. to small of an area/metal is too stiff for a suction cup to pull out Maybe call a PDR guy to see if they can pull it out without you having to make a mess

#124222 actually i used a ding king today. it did a great job. it didnt pull it all out but rather nicely. Now i am going to fill in the low spots with some body filler and it should look good as new. i will post some pics later

#124486 the dent doesnt' look like a clean circle, so i'm sure you will need to pop it out as best as you can and then fill her up with BONDO. sucks, but that'll be the right way to do it correctly. sorry to hear man.

#124493 cut and weld a new piece. lots of work yes BUT - better then a portion of your body that cant hold a magnet. Just my opinion tho

dont just pull it out and bondo it. the metal is already stretched there nothing you can do bout that at this point.

steps.
1. take the panel off on the inside.

2. get a really flat hammer and dolly hammer the inside out with dolly against piant on outside. dont go to far and dont worry about it being perfect at this point... your gunna dent it again anyways :thumb:

3.take a grinder and take all the paint off down to bare metal (take the paint off atleast 2-4 inches beyond the actual dent) and dont worry bout the big scratches you will need them there for the bondo

4. grab a hammer that has a point on one side( most of the time you can find one that has a point on one end and the flat on the other

ie.Image

5. take the pointie side of the hammer and put small holes into the metal(not actual holes but really small dents) ... this will make it to where the metal shrinks

6. after the spot doesnt OILPAN anymore and you have the paint completely off

7. apply bondo with correct mixing ratio of (pea of hardener for every golf ball) apply bondo throughout whole dent and up to and inch away from where you sanded

let condo dry. and sand and shape with either 180 if you have really high spots and then 360 is more of a finshing touch for bondo

ill post paint steps too if you want to kno

im done posting ugh

i dont know what school you went to but 180 is a high grit you shape with 40 and then go back with 80.... if you finish with 360 your sealer wont have anything to stick to..... :D

#124521 well 80 is good to knock down the tall spots and get the shape. you the use 120 to get even better shape then finish with 320. what do you mean the sealer wont stick?320 is stilll very rough grit. if you use to rough grit you will end up with sanding scratches....

#124522 DONT PUT FILLER MORE THAN 1/8'' THICK..... if its thicker it will crack and chip...also i am so tired of seeing to stupid people (not you just people in genral) slapping body filler all over shit take a little time to do more metal work and you dont use near as much and your car doesnt look like ass

Well thats the way i was taught and i have done it that way for a while and i have never saw scratches through sealer or primer...im going to try it your way and see what i like better... :thumb:
