#113994 Hey all,

I just picked up my first EG hatchback in Feb and its under the knife. Shes been basically stripped down to the shell and waiting on my body guy to come over and do some work. Picked up this 93 SI from a guy in a trailer park (first mistake and last) not to far from my house and drove it home. I was stoked. Everything worked and I had a huge grin from the fact that I bought my first hatch and I got it for cheap. So I drove it to get insurance and then plates. That took forever at the DMV. Then I drove home, got some things and started off to go to my friends house to show off my new whip. Everythings going fine until I start to hear a KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK ................................. Just great! The motor spun a rod. Not a huge deal for I knew that I was swapping a GSr into her. I just didnt want to do it so fast. I actually wanted to drive the poor Z6 for a few more months before I did the swap. So now she sits waiting on the motor to be finished and what not. So yeah. Thats my story and I have to stick with it. I actually came up with a name for the car already. I named it due to the color scheme.

The Halloween Raider

When shes all done she will be black as night and lower then snakes breath. Well almost that low since MI roads suck a$$

So here is a few shots of her when I got her. You can make fun of her all you want. Just remember that I didnt paint her this way LOL I just bought it and rocked it for less then 2 hours before she died :(

Oh yeah one other thing ... The flames did make the car go faster LMAO

SO you all can give me a hard time if you want or not. Doesnt really matter to me. I know in the end all the JDM goodies that I have aquired so far will make her stand out amongst the others.

I guess that I can start a build thread some day soon. As soon as I get my body guy here to replace some 1/4's.

LOL the flames were the first to go along with the pin stripes. Sold the hood to a friend and now I have a CF one on there. Shes looking good so far but there is a lot more work to do.

#117177 The hatch is tucked away in the corner of my garage right now. The interior is completely stripped out and half the motor is out. So for right now shes going to stay the Halloween Raider untill I can get my body guy over again to finish up the rear quarters being replaced.

Thanks for the suggestion on the black paint. I had thought about it but since shes going to be resprayed soon there is really no point in spending extra money just to be taken off by a quick sanding.

#117267 It all really depends on how I want to go about this. I have an EK and its almost finsihed. It just needs a few things. If I really wantted to get this Raider on the road. Shes going to need:

Z6 short block
Passenger axel
Interior installed
Front and rear suspension
Radiator and hoses
and a few odds and ends

That should about do it. Its just more then I wanted to spend this year since I wanted to finish off my EK with boost, rear disc brake conversion (luckily I already have this), a camber kit front and rear, rear lca's and lower strut bars front and rear. Thats what its going to take for me to finsih offmy EK
