- Fri May 01, 2009 2:32 am #114248 Ok so basically I am in dire need of getting a hatch. It will be my first car, and I want it to be pretty much stock so I can build it up. The only issue is where to get one. I live in Fairfield County, CT and the only hatches I can find on Craiglist have engine swaps, or are just too damn expensive. Does anyone know where I could get a hatch around here? I was thinking government auctions but I have no idea. Please help me out.

People who do a swap on there cars are auto enthusiasts. People who love their cars.

Cars that are at auctions that I have scene have 1)been stolen 2)wrecked 3)reposed.

Check your car lots, Cash talks and can get you a good deal somewhat easily. Craigslist is also a good avenue to find what you want, but thats something your already on.

I wish you good luck on finding a clean hatch.

- Mon May 04, 2009 5:38 pm #114818 I dont have any pics on my comp, but I have seen about 30 of them the worst thing is that there is a small dent on the hood other than that its flawless, no rust no nothing. He even fixed the seat rip. I am trying now to get him down to 2500, and then I will buy in a heart beat. Max I want to spend is 2750.

wait for the right car you'll find it
dont rush cuz someone says the car is good< who cares they could be getting a profit out of selling it

auctions are good but you have to be careful

my car is from an aucton with 17k original when i bought it
carfaxed and everything was clean!!!!!!

so auctions are ok but be careful

swaps i tend to stay away from cuz of the fact that not to many ppl that do swaps actually take care of them. usually they swap it and run it into the ground.

that doesnt apply to all but most ppl.

bascially just wait and look everywhere you'll know when you find the right one
