General engine questions/issues that aren't specific to the other categories

#110377 I have a friend that is selling a stock 92 integra, and I was wondering if I would be able to simply swap the engines without having to buy anything extra. I was really just going to buy it to begin with just for the b18 engine and tranny, but then I was wondering if my d15 engine from my 92 hatch would just fit back into the integra so I'd still have another car for free pretty much, and one that will give great gas mileage.

If there is anything I need to buy, what would it be?

#110450 To Correctly install it, You would have to get:
94-01 Integra Axles,
94-01 Integra Transmission
94-01 Integra Shift Linkage
94-01 Integra Engine/Tranny Mounts.

you can gettofab cable linkage however it wouldn't be easy, however doable with parts from the integra.

To put your D15 into the Integra you would need
88-91 Civic Axles
88-91 Civic Transmission
88-91 Civic Engine/Tranny Mounts
You could reuse your Cable linkage assuming you didn't fab it into your Civic.

Not the news you want I know, however its better to find out now then during the swap.

Drive the 92 Integra as your fast car and Daily your Hatch. This is the Much Cheaper and easier option. If it was a 94-95 Integra I would give different advice though.

The Donor is a 92 Integra, a DA. He needs DC Parts, so a 94-01 would work. 94-95 the best as its all drag and drop and plug and play.

#110466 Well I'm not going to get the car if I have to use that much money to do it. I already have a z28 as my 'fast car' so to speak. I was just wanting to make my project car faster. I guess it'd just be cheaper to buy the engine from eBay or somewhere else instead of the whole car then.

Hmm, so if it was a 94 or newer car, I'd just be able to trade engine parts/tranny and not really have to get anything new?
