- Wed Mar 18, 2009 12:54 am #104021 this problem all started when i tried to put on my foglights, the cheap ass switch broke. So i heard people connect it through the corner lights so i gave it a shot. They worked for a while but then they suddenly just stopped working. it turns on when i put the signal on and the hazards, i checked the fuse and the light bulb and they are fine. im thinking i messed up my wiring any ideas?

those signal bulbs will turn on when signaling even if the parking light is out....i guess its what they call a dual filament bulb or whatever.

- Thu Mar 19, 2009 3:30 am #104253 i tried using a different kind of bulb and still nothing. every single exterior light works except the parking lights. im confused. anywhere else i should look?

on jdm cars its just 2 wires. and it only blinks...

so it could be that or the bulb... maybe something else.

what do you mean a different kind of bulb?... like a bulb not of the same kind or just a nother bulb?..

id just get new ones personally.

im pretty sure the bulb is fine, its not burnt out or anything.
i tried a bulb not of the same kind

and wen i wire up the fogs to the red wire it doesnt turn on either, but when i wire it up to the green wire the fog light blinks

- Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:28 am #104520 I had an issue like this when I wired my fog lights up. I did everything correct but then my drivers headlight started dimming in and out all the time. One of my friends said I needed a new ground for it so he made me a new ground. Fixed the problem but then my fog lights would flicker sometimes. Where did you get the fog lights?

- Fri Mar 20, 2009 12:10 pm #104554 haha ebay fogs ftl. Then again I've heard some people haven't had any problems with theirs but other have. I don't know guess it depends on who you buy them from or something. Mine came from weksos and the wiring harness was ridiculous and then all my electrical stuff started going crazy. I never had that problem before with my first fog light setup.

- Sat Mar 21, 2009 3:43 am #104738 wowzers its like all of yall have trouble with these lol when i got my depo foglights 3 years ago it was easy to put in.

if you need to you can buy a premade harness at the local auto parts store and go from there.

as for the grounding thing, there is a problem alot of us bmw guys have with aftermarket depo lights, that the grounding isnt strong enough. so maybe it's a depo thing in general?

This is where an electric check light wins!
