#103727 the oil has about 200 miles (not even that much) and the oil looked like diesel oil when it came out..

note : motor has been rebuilt maybe like 160 miles on it.., a oil filter WAS NOT replaced since the last ring lands cracked meaning im still using the same oil filter from when i blew the motor, and on top of all that i have been running SUPER rich for a while,, BUT i couldnt sniff out gas in the oil.

any ideas?

#103740 If it's just been rebuilt there's going to be metal filings in the oil for sure, but it wouldn't blacken it. What do you mean by "diesel oil"? Diesel oil is still clean and goldenish going in. Say you had a glass of this oil, would you be able to see through it at all or is it pure black?

Don't blow it up this time.

you see if you ever changed the oil on a diesel which i think you havnt which is why you dont know what im talking about you would notice that diesel oil as soon as it goes in the motor idle it for 10 secs and the oil will come out blacker then hell, thats what im trying to say and this oil was just damn black i mean i was running it very rich for like 4 days w/ 450 cc injectors and 9 heat range spark plug = missfired cuz it was so rich, im thinking that + not replacing the filter must have been to reason for it to come out very shitty.

#103743 You're talking about changing the oil though. That's used oil. I said diesel oil is golden going in.

#103757 Ive changed plenty of Deisel oil. Not all comes out black.

Sounds like the oil is just dirty. Since you said you didnt change the filter, that could be your cause. Change it and the oil again.

#103831 my teacher at school was tripping me out idk if hes getting a little old but hes like "that smells like burnt oil" then he asked me if i plastic gauged the rod bearings and i told him no and hes like you might have some major bearing problems going on... :?

but in the back of my mind im just tellin my self - this guys nuts. its obvious..

i use a old filter, run super fucking rich with 450 cc injectors and no tune + on top of that all the nasty nasty wear from new motor parts..

idk but its still kinda fishy cuz the oil only did have about 200 miles on it, is that really enough to get it that dirty?

#103970 you should always replace your filter when you change your oil, especially after you blow your engine

this had nothing to do with clearances, OEM bearings were going on the OEM crank.. NOT only were they OEM but they were the same ones, i re-used them. cranks dont magically warp or scratch.
