#188242 Hey all. First let me give you my setup: b16a, AEM cold air, obx intake mani, Skunk2 cams, DC header, MSD Blaster, with a p72 ecu.

What are my options with the P72?

How much more power might I be seeing after a good tune with this setup? Hondata, Crome, Neptune, etc, what's my best bet on a budget? And how much could I plan on spending all said and done?

Also, Im planning on doing a small turbo on this car at some point in the future.. does that change what I should do with tuning now? I'd like to be able to put a tune on it now, then just re-tune once I turbo. Thanks for any and all input :thumb:

#188546 Any of the ones you mentioned will work. Crome is free, Crome Pro is better but like $150 or around there. Then Neptune is better then Crome (depending on who you talk to). Then For $600 you can get Hondata.
Check with your local dyno tuner and see what kind of software they work with. Often times tuners will prefer one, for example Hondata over Crome will cost you more up front for the software, but you might save a couple hrs on tuning so you'll earn it back.

Since you're on a budget, AEM is probably not an option for you, but look into eCtune as well.

#188549 you can chip yourself, but the cost upfront is 250 at least, the parts are rather inexpensive, however the dataloging tools necessary to complete a good base-map tune are 400+ just like teal_dx said

with crome pro you can add tools for boost, and datalog, you can datalog with a pc using hondata if you buy the s300, most tuning shops own all the software's needed. so do whatever fits your budget, :hehe:
