#6909189 Haven't posted in a while... many projects in the garage! You guys will like this one- a 1988 Acura Legend L sedan with 158k miles.

This car had 2 previous owners. It was originally a California car, and then owned in Colorado, then was parked for 10 years after the previous owner passed away. In 2021, I bought the car sight unseen on eBay for $350 as a parts car and planned on keeping the 15″ Enkei EK90 wheels, but when I saw how solid it was, I decided to save it. After a lot of time, parts and labor, I’ve put about 700 miles on it since bringing it back to life. I have a full video series on my youtube channel showing how I got the car running and repaired the flaking paint: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... tftbQaHPH9

As good as it feels to be back in a golden-era Honda, I'm selling the car because I need space for my next project vehicle. If this car wasn't so clean, I'd keep it as a daily that I could drive through the winter, but it's too nice for that.

#6909204 Watching videos… see why it was $350. Still a great deal. I hope it goes to a good home.

#6909241 I actually ended up trading this car for a 2007 Honda Fit Sport. The Fit has some rust and a lot of dents, but it reminds me of a modern Civic EG. It's small, light, and actually fun to drive while getting 35-40 mpg. I needed something that I could drive through winter without feeling guilty and this is perfect.

#6909252 I just did a valve adjustment on the fit yesterday and it runs so much better now! A couple of months ago I replaced axles, wheel bearings, LCAs/balljoints/endlinks and installed coilovers. At 167k miles, this car is ready to keep going for a long time.

#6909253 They are great little cars. It's a shame they are gone and replaced with the HR-V.

#6909267 That acura legend is looking amazing especially for that age. I can understand why the owner of the fit wanted to trade.

I have always liked the little honda fits. I bet its a blast to drive in the winter, I thought about buying one multiple times but never pulled the trigger.

#6909268 They're such great cars. It's really fun to drive now that it's lowered. The mileage is amazing; I check every tank. I've never had less than 33 mpg. Average is 37... my best ever was 43! That was a lot of highway with a hole in the exhaust, so I wonder if less back pressure helped with mpg, or if I was just trying to drive it more quietly.
